Scentsy Candles

The Scentsy Story

Scentsy is a family owned business with a product line focused on one thing – making the world around you more enjoyable. Scentsy’s humble beginnings started in 2004 with an across the aisle tradeshow conversation between Orville Thompson and the founders of Scentsy, a tiny 6-month old venture started by Kara Egan and Colette Gunnell. Energized by the Scensty candle concept, Orville and his wife Heidi built a bond of trust with Kara and Colette, as they worked with them to sell their product. After several weeks of collaboration, in a “win-win” mutual decision Kara and Colette offered to sell the company to the Thompsons. Built on the foundational principles of simplicity, authenticity, and generosity, Scentsy continues to bring high quality products into homes while making a difference in the lives of thousands.
